Courses run for up to 16 weeks and are free for eligible learners who are unemployed, 19+ , who live in East Sussex can also support employers looking to upskill existing staff through heavily subsidised training.
East Sussex College’s Skills Bootcamps will equip you with the technical knowledge needed to succeed in three key sectors. Whether you’re looking to start a new career, develop your existing skills, or gain more responsibility in your current role, these programmes offer a valuable route to progression.
For those out of work or looking to change careers, the Skills Bootcamps come with a guaranteed interview for a relevant job upon completion.
Duration: 5-10 weeks (part-time)
Fully funded for eligible unemployed learners.
Available to those who are looking for work or who are currently employed.
If you are employed, there is a small employer contribution required from your employer.

Designed to support adults into employment or apprenticeships within the engineering sector, the programme combines practical training, employability development, and industry-focused learning in professional-standard engineering workshops and specialist facilities.

The Skills Bootcamp in Catering will provide you with the vital qualification and knowledge for entering this rewarding sector. This course has been developed with longstanding professionals in the catering industry, so by getting your teeth into this Skills Bootcamp you will also receive valuable talks and insights from local employers, including the Grand Hotel – Eastbourne.

You will gain a Level 3 Award in Supporting Teaching and Learning

Businesses within East Sussex can use Skills Bootcamps as a cost-effective way to employ new staff or upskill their current workforce. Skills Bootcamps can help upskill your current employees, enabling them to advance within your organisation.
Training an existing employee, on Skills Bootcamp will require businesses to make a small contribution to the training. Skills Bootcamps are funded the UK Government.
Employees will need time away from the business to attend a Skills Bootcamp. There is no cost to recruit learners who have completed a Skills Bootcamps.
