About the Tutor:

Howard Seaton is a Lecturer in Three Dimensional Design (Ceramics) at East Sussex College Group with over 30 years’ experience teaching art and design. He creates a relaxed, supportive studio environment where students are encouraged to experiment and develop their own creative voice.

In the ceramics room, students may explore hand building, throwing, glazing, sgraffito, and slip casting, working both functionally and sculpturally. Howard also maintains an active arts practice from his Hastings-based studio, delivering workshops and commissions that bring real-world insight into the classroom.
