This workshop is perfect if you want to explore and develop new ceramics techniques. You can be experimental or concentrate on learning traditional skills such as hand-building, modelling, mould making, slip casting, throwing, firing and glazing.
This workshop is fun and creative and will give you the freedom to create anything you like, as long as it is safe. We have an inspiring and supportive class environment where you can develop your own projects with expert guidance from our tutor Sheila Hay.
We have a very well equipped ceramic department that allows you to create functional tableware, figurative sculpture, tiles or installations.
Continuous informal assessment throughout the sessions, and where appropriate, through the use of Individual Learning Plans, as specified by RARPA
There is no qualification for this course, but you'll be awarded a certificate of attendance if you attend 80% or more of the course.
Once you have completed this course, you might be interested in our other creative courses in Eastbourne or Hastings.
There will be some extra costs for firing your pieces. This cost will be calculated by weight.
