During this exciting evening of pottery, you'll learn and explore different ceramic techniques to create your own pottery. You will learn hand-building methods such as coiling and slab work, mould making, casting and throwing on electric wheels. We'll also give you an introduction to glazes and surface design through spraying and painting and scraffito and ceramic transfers.
Once you have completed this course, you might like to try some of our other creative courses in Hastings, such as Wood Engraving.
Please note that due to the volume of work produced at the college, our ceramic courses are not suitable for batch projects, makers producing large amounts of work, such as tableware, or large scale works that take up a full kiln. You will be provided with 1-2 bags of clay per student per course only.
