Pottery For All

All levels are welcome, from beginners to intermediate studio practitioners. You will cover hand building methods including coiling, slabbing and pinching and a range of exciting projects. You will be shown how to decorate, glaze and fire your work. Everyone will be encouraged to be as creative as possible with this versatile medium. Please bring a note book to record your work and a pinafore. Materials are provided by the college and the cost of clay and firing is included in the course fees. Tutor: Jane King

How will I be assessed?

Continuous informal assessment throughout the sessions, and where appropriate, through the use of Individual Learning Plans, as specified by RARPA

What qualification will I achieve?

There is no qualification for this course, but you'll be awarded a certificate of attendance if you attend 80% or more of the course.

What can I do after completing this course?

Some courses will offer progression routes, there may also be an opportunity to join other associated courses or clubs. This will be discussed during the last lesson.

Are there any extra costs?

You will need to bring a note book to record your work. Materials are provided by the college. Students need to bring their own pinnies, small sketchbook/notebook, pencil or pen.
