Work independently in our fully equipped ceramics studio and explore hand-building, wheel throwing, glazing and surface decoration at your own pace. All levels are welcome, with guidance available when you need it. Tools, clay and general materials are provided. Please come with a rough idea of what you’d like to make so we can dive right in.

Once you have completed this course, you might like to try some of our other creative courses in Hastings, such as Stained Glass.
Due to the volume of work produced at the college, our ceramic courses are not suitable for batch projects, makers producing large amounts of work, such as tableware, or large scale works that take up a full kiln. You will be provided with 1-2 bags of clay per student per course only.
PLEASE NOTE: This is a Fragrance Free workshop due to a serious health condition. Please do not wear perfumes, strong scents, or essential oils during this class.
About the Tutor: Born in Canada and now based in Hastings, Linda works across a mix of disciplines, exploring materiality, identity, race, and cultural belonging. Her practice is shaped by moments of connection and dislocation, and her work is held in collections in the UK and abroad. She holds an MA in Fine Art from Chelsea College of Art and Design and a PG Cert in Teaching in Art and Design from The University of the Arts London, and has taught adults in Higher Education across several UAL colleges and other institutions throughout the UK.
