The Basics of Pottery

This is a taster course for beginners. Have you ever fancied "Having a go" at pottery? Here's your chance! We will guide you through the basics of hand building pottery: pinching, coiling, slabbing and modelling. We will be using real clay, not air-drying materials and working in our specialist ceramics workshop. Your creations will be properly fired and glazed to take home at the end of the course. Try this relaxing, fun and creative activity! Participants should wear old clothes that they don't mind getting dirty. Please note that this course will not cover the use of a potter's wheel.
