Beginners And Improvers Machine Sewing

Join us for an enjoyable introduction to machine sewing from setting up the machine to completing your first projects. During this course the tutor will guide you through setting up the machine, including the different stiches and feet and when to use what. We will then use our new skills to work on projects. You will learn an array of sewing techniques including: measuring, marking, cutting fabric and more.

What will I study?

This course is for beginners and also those with some experience using a sewing machine.

How will I be assessed?

Continuous informal assessment throughout the sessions and where appropriate through the use of individual learning plans as specified by RARPA.

What qualification will I achieve?

There is no formal qualification for this course.

What can I do after completing this course?

Once you have completed this course you might like to join other creative courses.

Are there any extra costs?

There are some extra costs as students need to buy their own materials and fabric.
