Natural Dye workshop

This course will give you the basic foundations to start natural dyeing. The first session covers fabric choices and preparation including basic scouring and mordanting. We will create a range of samples of natural dyes and use some simple shibori techniques to create patterns. We will also examine the use of modifiers to increase your palette. The second session will cover bundle dyeing techniques using different botanicals to directly create marks on the fabric.
