Do you want to be creative and learn fused glass techniques? You will produce a range of decorative and joyfully functional objects, learning the magic of how glass behaves when fired in a kiln. We will focus on the exciting potential of fused glass incorporating various methods of working with glass, starting with smaller cabochon pieces which can create a playful mobile or be worn as jewellery, moving into larger sizes for tiles and coasters and then taking these skills and creating larger pieces which can be shaped - slumped or draped - to create bowls and dishes, or used for clocks, frames, hanging pieces or even incorporated into architectural settings. Areas covered: design, glass cutting, glass compatibility, firing cycles and kiln techniques, decorative techniques, slumping, inclusions, small scale open casting, glass enamelling, glass adhesives and more!
