During this course, you will be able to learn how to draw from observation, using tone and line in a variety of media. You will also learn how to paint what you see in the medium of your choice, which can be acrylics, or watercolours.

This course is suitable for complete beginners or those with little experience. You will receive guidance on how to draw from observation and how to paint what you see.
Continuous informal assessment throughout the sessions, and where appropriate, through the use of Individual Learning Plans, as specified by RARPA
There is no qualification for this course, but you'll be awarded a certificate of attendance if you attend 80% or more of the course.
Once you have completed the course, you might be interested in joining our Drawing and Painting workshop or trying your hand at Printmaking.
Please bring an A2 cartridge pad, 2B/3B/4B pencils, charcoal and putty rubber. Teacher will offer support and advice about other equipment and resources you could buy as the course goes on.
