Form, Mass and Structure

Explore the full potential of drawing both as fundamental creative skill and as a tool for developing individual artistic practice. Each class will focus on drawing using historical and archival works as a basis for skill development and as a starting point for developing a more individual, creative practice. Teaching and learning contexts will include life drawing, object (still-life) drawing alongside traditional modes of learning such as drawing from busts, figurines and illustrations. The aims and objectives will be firmly on understanding drawing as a rigorous continuous discipline that informs all aspects of creative idea development.
