Making Garden Mosaics

What will I study?
You will learn the basic techniques of cutting and assembling glass and ceramics, designing your own mosaics and how to glue, grout and finish them. We will have a selection of pre prepared garden themed decorations for you to choose from and there will be a chance for you to work on your projects.

What can I do after completing this course?
Once you have finished this course, you could join other creative courses.
Are there any extra costs?
The materials for the planned projects will be provided for. During the first session we will discuss possible projects that you may wish to work on later in the course. The teacher will go over material requirements for your own projects and where to get them. We also recommend that you purchase some nippers and a glass cutter. You can get these from Topps Tiles and Homebase. College will provide tile adhesive and grout.
Additional Info
Is is also a good idea to bring a notebook and a pencil. Safety equipment will be provided. If you have any old ceramics and glass that you wish to include in your designs then please bring them along. Please wear closed toe shoes and an apron or clothes that don't mind getting mucky.
