"Join us for this nine-week course where we'll teach you the modern embroidery techniques used within fashion houses around the world today.
You will learn traditional hand embroidery techniques using a needle and thread for lace appliqué, Limerick Lace, Broderie Anglaise and hand beading, before moving on to master the challenging technique of Tambour Beading. This technique originated in France and uses a ‘Luneville’ hook (a thin crochet style hook) to catch the thread & hook from the reverse. Once mastered, it is the quickest way to apply beads to fabric. The final part of the course allows you to design and work on a piece of embroidery, using the techniques you've learnt.
The course fee does not include the frame, but you have the option to provide your own haberdashery and material or purchase the materials from us for an added £35 (or £25 without the hoop frame)."
