The class will be an introduction to Slow Stitching, where you will learn the art of hand stitching and link it to mindfulness themes.

Working with simple embroidery stitches and recycled material, we will explore textile collage, to create a small piece of personal artwork. In the essence of Slow Stitching, we will be paying attention to our senses and our focus, whilst being immersed in this creative, relaxing activity.
There is no qualification for this course but you will receive a certificate of attendance if you complete the course.
You can explore a variety of other courses within Community Learning or the adult college.
This course is free if you are in receipt of benefits or earn less than £25,000 per year (this includes pension income)*. Please select the relevant options when enrolling online.
There are no additional costs. All materials are provided, but we do ask that you bring an old cotton or linen pillowcase or sheet.
*If you do not qualify for a free course the course fee will be £13.75
