Summer School - Jewellery

Whether you're new to jewellery making or looking to refine your skills, our Jewellery Summer School offers a comprehensive and creative learning experience.

Beginners will be introduced to key jewellery-making techniques including: • Marking out, piercing, filing, and metal finishing • Ring sizing, annealing, soldering, and drilling • Creating textures and bezel stone setting

Projects will be carefully structured to build skills progressively: • First, you'll create a copper pendant, practicing the use of basic tools and techniques. • You'll then move on to making an open ring using recycled Sterling Silver. • Next, you’ll craft a silver soldered ring, setting an 8mm cabochon gemstone of your choice in a bezel setting. • If time permits, you will also create a set of thin silver stacking rings.

Experienced students will work on techniques specific to their own projects, with tailored guidance to help refine ideas and develop their personal design style.

This hands-on, supportive course ensures everyone leaves with new skills, beautiful finished pieces, and the confidence to continue their jewellery-making journey.
