Join us for this fish masterclass as we teach you about the different types of seafood, when it is available, and the best times of year to eat it. You'll also learn skills in preparing, cooking and storing, as well as ways to preserve, marinate, and cure fish.
Hastings (Station Plaza)
During this course, you'll learn more about the history of the local fishing fleet and its contribution to the Historic Cinque Ports of Hastings.
The course runs twice a week and covers topics such as buying, preparing, storage, and cooking in a variety of classical ways. We'll also show you how to preserve, marinate and cure.
By the end of the course, you will be able to design and cook with seafood suitable for professional menu's or at home, using only locally sourced seasonal fish.
There will be practiacal observations, support and guidance from you tutor, as well as some written questions.
There is no formal qualification with this course, but you will have lots of new cookery skills.
