Our Digital Media Production course encourages you to be experimental, develop your own distinct visual voice and style, while building on conceptual and technical skills required for the media production industries.

You can specialise in one of three pathways:

• Game Development • Film / Visual Effects • Sound Media

During this two-year course you will develop a solid understanding of industry standard media production software, for example Adobe and the Autodesk Suite. This includes a deep dive into the Unity Engine where you will learn to develop game worlds and develop assets for those worlds in 3D modelling software and graphic editing software. Learn the key skills needed to become a content creator. Use our camera equipment and green screen to create visual effects and composition. Learn from industry professionals with optional modules available for TV and Film Production and Games Production.

For the music pathway you will cover aspects of the music industry, applied sound principles, creative software technique, advanced sound design, composing using technology, mixing & mastering, musicology and professional development. These will be developed through workshops, practical sessions, creative practical projects, contextual studies and production projects based on recognised industry standards.

Our aim is to develop you as a content creator, enabling you to come up with innovative and original solutions that will help you to stand out from the crowd.

What will I study?

You will study a range of techniques and develop skills covering video editing, website development and game design, music production, 3D compositing and advanced animation, and other forms of visual communication.

You will also explore digital techniques and processes to encourage you to investigate the diverse and ever-evolving role of a games designer or a film/ tv producer within the modern creative industries.

If you choose the music pathway, you will study the music industry and develop your professional practice. These range of key concepts and practical skills are needed for working in the music industry.

Teaching is relevant and textual to the workplace so you can learn from best practices and prepare for work or further study. Our small class sizes means that you will recieve plenty of one-to one tutor support, in a friendly and professional environment, from people who currently work within the industry.
