Vis Imp Level 2 IT Users Certificate

This is a practical, hands-on course for the visually impaired providing you with the opportunity to learn and/or improve basic IT skills across a range of software packages using assistive software and hardware. You will study subjects such as , word processing and spreadsheets, using the internet, using email as well as creating presentations. Your course will be 1 to 1 with your own personal tutor. If you are in receipt of certain benefits and /or seeking employment as a visually impaired person this course may entitle you to a fee waiver.

You will be assessed by completing assignments and projects throughout the course and with a final assessment for each unit taken.

You will receive an OCR IT Users ITQ certificate at the completion of the course.

If you gain a pass for this course you can progress to a Level 3 IT course were you will learn to use software applications in a more combined way.

Lessons are either in a morning or afternoon session for a duration of 3 hours. Guide Dogs are welcome. Many of our visually impaired students have either gone on to a higher level of course or been able to gain employment upon completing the course.
