Introduction To Carpentry
This 11-week course is ideal if you want to learn the basic carpentry skills to complete your own projects at home or get a taste for the trade. We'll show you how to create basic woodworking joints, fixing skirtings and architraves, and use and maintain tools.

What will I study?
During this course, we'll give you a thorough introduction to carpentry. You'll learn more about how to use and maintain tools, basic woodworking joints, changing a lock, fitting ironmongery, and fixing skirtings and architraves. Lessons will be practical and fun in our state-of-the-art workshops.
How will I be assessed?
You will have regular feedback from your tutor on your work which will help you develop more as the course progresses.
What can I do after completing this course?
Once you have completed this course, you might like to try your hand at some of our other trade skills courses, such as bricklaying or painting and decorating.
