What will I study?

This course is ideal for those with a keen interest in becoming more self-sufficient in maintaining their own car.

This course will be carried out both in the classroom and in our well-equipped workshops with our own cars.

This entry level course provides knowledge of basic vehicle maintenance. The course content is focused around basic service checks, which include:

H&S, tools and equipment Vehicle safety check and possible rectification including tyres, lights and all fluid levels Changing brake disc and pads Changing brake shoes Full vehicle inspection Oil and filter change Battery replacement Changing all bulbs and wiper blades Brake fluid change

You will also learn some tips on how to buy and car and what to look for.

How will I be assessed?

This is an unaccredited course and therefore no formal assessment will take place.

What qualification will I achieve?

You will not receive a formal qualification for this.

What can I do after completing this course?

You could apply to enrol onto one of our full-time vehicle maintenance courses

Are there any extra costs?

You will need to purchase and wear steel toe capped boots.
