What will I study?

In Eastbourne we have full-time courses, which are four days a week, or part time courses, which are two evenings a week. There are three courses per year and each course runs for 11 weeks, ending with an exam in reading, speaking & listening or writing.

You will learn with other students who have the same level of English. Our teachers are very experienced and they use a variety of approaches to make sure that your classes are interesting, motivating and effective. Classes include group work, pair and project work and computer-based activities.

Courses

Whatever your level or knowledge, we have a course for you. First, you will need to take an assessment test with one of our tutors. The test will show us your level of English and we will recommend the best course for you.

  • Pre-entry – Complete Beginner
  • Entry 1 – Beginner
  • Entry 2 – Pre-Intermediate
  • Entry 3 – Intermediate (B1)
  • Level 1 – Upper Intermediate
  • Level 2 – Advanced

How will I be assessed?

There are three courses per year and each course runs for 11 weeks. Each course has a different skill focus: reading, writing or speaking &listening and includes exams in this skill.

What qualification will I achieve?

You will take a national accredited ESOL Skills for Life qualification.

What can I do after completing this course?

When you have finished your course, you could move on to a higher level of ESOL, you might find a job or you might go on to further education.

Are there any extra costs?

Full time ESOL courses cost £495 per term. Part time evening courses cost £105 per term.

But, depending on your circumstances, your course could be free!
