A continuation from Beginners. The course is aimed at learners who have done a year of French and have an understanding of basic grammar, such as the present tense. The course introduces more complex grammatical structures, such as the future and past tenses, and it expands everyday vocabulary (feelings, routine, likes and dislikes) so that you can sustain a simple conversation in everyday situations.
Continuous informal assessment throughout the sessions, and where appropriate, through the use of Individual Learning Plans, as specified by RARPA.
There is no formal qualification for this course.
Once you have finished this course, you could progress onto the lower intermediate French course, or, you could start to learn another language such as Spanish.
During your first session, we'll advise you on the best study book to purchase to help with your learning.
