Our Japanese for Beginners course is the perfect way to start learning Japanese. We'll start with the basics and guide you through the Japanese alphabets - hiragana and katakana - to build your confidence to speak in everyday situations.

We will start you off by introducing you to the Japanese alphabets, then cover topics such as shopping, directions, ordering a meal, and booking a room. Our expert language tutor, Maki Hallinon, will support and guide you so that you can speak and understand basic language and grammar by the end of the course.
Continuous informal assessment throughout the session, and where appropriate through the use of Individual Learning Plans, as specified by RARPA.
There is no formal qualification for this course.
Once you have finished this course, you could progress onto the Japanese Improvers course.
