Our Japanese Improvers course will give you the opportunity to build and extend your existing Japanese language skills. We'll introduce katakana spellings and some kanji, so that by the end of the course, you will be able to communicate more confidently on a wider range of topics

This course is perfect if you have completed our beginners course or you have studied the language before. You will be able to practise your Japanese while learning katakana spellings and kanji. You'll practise through everyday conversations and have the chance to present your interests in Japanese culture. By the end of the course, you will be able to communicate more confidently on a wider range of topics.
Continuous informal assessment throughout the session, and where appropriate through the use of Individual Learning Plans, as specified by RARPA.
There is no formal qualification for this course.
Once you have finished this course, you can progress onto the Japanese Intermediate course, or you might like to try some of our other language courses such as French, Spanish or Italian.
You will be required to purchase a course book set by the teacher. You will be advised on this during the first session.
