Perfect for people who want to learn more about flowers and floristry. This 9 week evening course is aimed at beginners and people who have some prior knowledge. You will understand how to care for and condition flowers and then go to create a range of beautiful floral designs suitable for gifts and your home. Students will need to provide their own materials at an estimated cost of £8-£10 per week.
You will be able to take your own photos to create your own portfolio. You will be given individual verbal feedback as well as self and peer evaluations. After the practical work is completed, there will be feedback by way of group assessment and discussion.
There is no qualification for this course, but you will be awarded a certificate of attendance it you attend 80% or more of the course.
Once you have finished this couse , you can progress onto our Floristry for special occasions course.
The cost of flowers and sundries are not included in the course fees. You will need to provide your own materials at an estimated cost of £10-£12 per week.
On the first week you are asked to bring a selection of small flowers and foliage, plus scissors or secateurs, you may also want to write notes.
