What will I study?

This 10-week evening course is perfect for people who want to learn about flowers and floristry. It is aimed at beginners and people who have some prior knowledge and will teach you how to care for and condition flowers and then go on to create a range of beautiful floral designs suitable for gifts and your home.

How will I be assessed?

You will be able to take your own photos to create your own portfolio. You will be given individual verbal feedback as well as self and peer evaluations. After the practical work is completed, there will be feedback by way of group assessment and discussion.

What qualification will I achieve?

There is no qualification for this course, but you'll be awarded a certificate of attendance if you attend 80% or more of the course.

What can I do after completing this course?

Once you have finished this course, you can progress onto our Wedding and Celebration Flowers course.

Are there any extra costs?

The cost of flowers and sundries are not included in the course fees. You will need to provide their own materials at an estimated cost of £8-£10 per week.

Additional Info

On the first week, you will be asked to bring a selection of small flowers and foliage, plus scissors or secateurs, you may also want to write notes.
