Indian Head Massage Level 3 Certificate

This course will qualify you to perform a professional 45 minute Indian Head Massage. Based on ancient Ayurvedic principles, Indian Head Massage helps to relieve stress, reduce tension and improve flexibility in the shoulders, neck and arms. It boosts circulation which can help to reduce hair loss, premature balding and greying, and relieves scalp conditions. Performed over clothing, Indian Head Massage focuses on the upper back, shoulders, upper arms, neck, scalp, face and ears using a range of different techniques. Indian Head Massage aims to reduce tension and increase flexibility in stressed and overworked muscles. You will need to maintain effective health, safety and hygiene throughout your work. You will also need to maintain your personal appearance, hygiene and good communication with the client.

You will be required to demonstrate a good level of English in both written and communication skills, in line with the level of the course.

You will be required to build a portfolio of evidence which identifies the development of practical skills. You will be required to complete 3 formal observations. Knowledge and understanding will be assessed by two external papers

On successful completion of this course you will be accredited with a VTCT Level 3 Award in Indian Head Massage.

Look to extend you qualification by adding Aromatherapy, Reflexology, Massage or beauty therapy to your qualification, all offering on a part time basis

You will be charged a minimal material fee for the use of equipment and products used during the course

You will be required to initially work on your peers as models and then progress onto clients for the assessment of your skills.
