During this course, you will develop a range of technical skills enabling you to provide relaxing massage treatments using classical Swedish massage movements. You will also develop your knowledge and understanding of relevant anatomy and physiology, health and safety, and client care. Through practical sessions in the salon, you will also develop interpersonal skills that mean you can communicate effectively with clients.
You will be required to demonstrate a good level of English in both written and communication skills, in line with the level of the course.
Your assessment for this course will be in the form of a portfolio of evidence, a range of practical assessments, and external written papers on massage, health and safety and anatomy and physiology.
Once you have completed this course, you will achieve a VTCT Level 3 Certificate in Swedish Massage.
Once you have finished this course, you will be highly trained and ready to start working as a massage therapist. If you are passionate about studying and improving your skills, then you might like to join one of our other diplomas, such as reflexology to specialise further.
There might be some extra costs with this course to cover products and to purchase textbooks, as you may find these useful to help with your studies.
We recommend that you spend two to three hours a week learning outside of lessons, working on written tasks, research, and practising the skills you've learnt.
