What will I study?

With the ability for salon owners to open specialist academies within their own salons having an assessors award is often a mandatory component of the acredication.

This course offers you the opportunity to learn how to assess learners within the sector under the guidance of beauty therapy assessor and head of curriculum Kate Smith. Kate has been assessing learners for 14 years and has a wealth of knowledge to share along with helping you understand the rules and regulations of awarding bodies and evidence requirements for assessment.

The majority of the course will be delivered remotely through distance learning to build your own understanding and knowledge of assessment practices. You will also undertake some live assessment sessions on campus with our learners as a mandatory component of the course.

How will I be assessed?

Written assignment and tasks, formal observation of assessment and feedback.

Level 3 Award in Assessing Vocationally Related Achievement

What can I do after completing this course?

Further study to expand or refresh your knowledge and skills base within the industry through one of our practical part time adult courses or the level 4 in salon management.
