What will I study?

Laser and Intense Pulsed Light (IPL) includes both hair removal and skin rejuvenation. Skin Peeling Skin Needling Radio Frequency Principles and Practice of Aesthetic Therapies

How will I be assessed?

You will be assessed through practical assessment, exam, case study and a portfolio of evidence.

What qualification will I achieve?

VTCT Level 4 Certificate in Laser and Intense Pulsed Light (IPL) Treatments VTCT (ITEC) Level 4 Certificate in Skin Peeling VTCT (ITEC) Level 4 Award in Skin Needling VTCT (ITEC) Level 4 Award in Principles and Practice of Aesthetic Therapies VTCT (ITEC) Level 4 Award in Radio Frequency

What can I do after completing this course?

You can complete supplementary specialist qualifications at level 4 or work as an aesthetic beauty therapy practitioner.

Are there any extra costs?

You will need to purchase a kit priced at around £100 (TBC) and a uniform if you do not have one already.

Over 19? The only element of this course that is funded is the IPL and Laser which can be funded through an advanced learner loan.

Age 18? The qualification is fully funded.

Additional Info

You must have a full beauty therapy level 3 qualification and be over the age of 18 to enrol on this course.

You can complete selected units on request as standalone qualifications.

Timetable: Monday 12 - 5, Wednesday 9.30 - 2.30 and Thursday 12 - 5.

The new Health and Care Act 2022 gives the Government powers to introduce a licensing scheme for practitioners who operate in England. Work is now underway to decide what the licensing scheme will look like. Current information indicates that legislation will enforce practitioners to qualify with full level 4 awards, certificates and diplomas provided by Ofqual-approved awarding bodies, such as the ones we use, VTCT and ITEC.
