Introduction into Barbering
Join us for an enjoyable introduction to barbering where we will introduce you to the basics of barbering skills. By the end of the course, you will be familiar with the tools used in barbering and will have practised some basic skills in cutting, clippering and the styling of hair.

What will I study?
During this course, you will gain an insight into the technical skills used in men's barbering. We'll introduce you to the basics of cutting men's hair using scissors and clippers. You'll be taught in our industry-standard working salon and gain practical experience in the following areas:
- Cutting men's hair
- Using clippers
- Styling men's hair
- Selecting and using finishing products to complement your look.
How will I be assessed?
The course does not require you to pass specific criteria but feedback will be given by the course tutor and skills and knowledge achieved
What qualification will I achieve?
There will be no formal qualification will be awarded for this course, but you will be awarded a certificate of attendance.
What can I do after completing this course?
Once you have finished this course, you will be ready to progress onto our Level 2 Barbering course to gain a qualification and improve your skills further.

There is no extra cost for this course
Additional Info
Please wear comfortable clothing with suitable footwear (closed in and slip resistant) We will provide barbering aprons for you to wear as part of PPE requirements. If you have your own equipment, please bring to the lessons *Clippers will need to have evidence of a recent PAT test.
