Join us for an enjoyable introduction to barbering, where we will introduce you to the basics of barbering skills and knowledge including cutting men's hair.
By the end of the course, you'll be able to create at least one hairstyles using scissors and clippers, combine styling techniques that incorporates the use of styling and finishing products.

During this course, you will gain an insight into the technical skills needed to succeed in men's barbering. We'll introduce you to the basics of setting up the work area, basic health and safety alongside basic hair styling and cutting of men's hair. You'll be taught in our industry-standard working salon and gain practical experience in the following areas:
Setting up the work area
The course does not require you to pass specific criteria but feedback will be given by the course tutor and skills and knowledge achieved.
There will be no formal qualification awarded for this course, but you will be awarded a certificate of attendance.
Once you have finished this course, you will be ready to progress onto our Level 2 Barbering course to gain a qualification and improve your skills further.
We provide equipment and mannequin heads for you to use during the course.
We also welcome you to bring your own equipment such as scissors, combs, please note, electrical items will need to have a valid PAT test.
