Salon Management in Hair and Beauty Level 4 Diploma

The Level 4 Diploma in Salon Management is an advanced, vocationally related qualification that will prepare you to gain employment as a salon manager, as the units contained in this qualification cover all the skills and knowledge required for this role.

Entry on to this qualification can be via previous attainment of a hair or beauty qualification at level 3. In addition, applicants must be proficient in written and spoken English.

The course is delivered one day a week with a mixture of directed study and taught sessions. You will be expected to research, monitor and recommend improvements to all aspects of a business..

What will I study?

All Students will study mandatory units which are based on the Management of Health, Safety and Security in the Salon, Salon Management practices, Sales Management in the hair or Beauty Sector, Quality Management of Client Care and Public Relations

The additional units are practical based where you will develop advanced skills in colour correction, managing a hair style collection including a professional photoshoot.

How will I be assessed?

For practical elements you will be assessed against specific performance criteria which is recorded in your record of assessment book.

You will produce a portfolio of evidence which will confirm the knowledge, understanding and skills that you have learnt, evidence may include witness statements, assignments, projects and written questions.

This course will be run over the academic year supported with directed study and task setting alongside contact sessions. The Level 4 course is a one year course delivered one day a week. We are interviewing for this course for September start date. Students will also need to purchase or have their own tools for practical sessions
