What will I study?

This course will introduce you to the world of music production and creation using Logic Pro X and our recording studios. The course will give you a foundation to build upon using Logic Pro X and our recording studios/facilities at the college to compose, edit, arrange and produce your own music. The course will run within our recording studios and will take you through the process of using both Audio and MIDI to make music. You will result with a recording at the end of the course which you can take away on a USB/CD. You will receive tuition from an experienced music tutor who will be able to help you generate ideas within Logic to create music and then produce your work through basic mixing.

Our studios are of Industry Standard featuring equipment from Apple, SSL, TL Audio, Universal Audio, Neumann, AKG, Shure and Earthworks to name a few.

How will I be assessed?

The course will be lead by a music tutor from the music courses at the college and assessment of your work and progress will be within the sessions running. You will be given time within classes to receive feedback and guidance on your progress and development. You will also receive a summary report at the end of the course detailing your strengths and areas for development.

You may wish to progress onto our Saturday School Music Production course or perhaps consider one of our Higher Education Music Production and Creative Recording courses at East Sussex College Eastbourne.

Additional Info

We will have headphones that you can borrow however we would advise bringing your own so that you are familiar with the way that they sound and respond to audio.
