This nurturing hands on course invites you to shape meaningful "memory vessels" using simple papier mâché techniques and personal or found materials. Each piece becomes a tactile container for stories, emotions, and self-expression—layered with care, texture, and intention.

In a small and friendly group, you will be guided to shape a basic vessel using balloons, bowls, or sculptural foundations. Learn to build structure using recycled paper and tissue, incorporating meaningful materials—letters, maps, fabrics, or other fragments—into the layers. Once dry, you will explore surface design: painting, collage, pattern, symbolism, or adding natural materials.
There is no qualification for this course but you will receive a certificate of attendance if you complete the course.

This course is free if you are in receipt of benefits or earn less than £25,000 per year (this includes pension income)*. Please select the relevant options when enrolling online.
