Creative Crafts for Wellbeing: Slow Stitching

The course will be an introduction to Slow Stitching, where you will learn the art of hand stitching and link it to mindfulness themes. We will explore the processes involved in this 'slow' approach to creating a small piece of personal artwork, working with simple stitches and recycled material. In the essence of Slow Stitching, we will be paying attention to our senses and our focus, whilst being immersed in this creative, relaxing activity.

What will I study?

There is no qualification for this course but you will receive a certificate of attendance if you complete the course.

You can explore a variety of other courses within Community Learning or the adult college, including our Level 1 Award in Creative Crafts.

Are there any extra costs?

This course is free if you are in receipt of benefits or earn less than £25,000 per year (this includes pension income)*. Please select the relevant options when enrolling online.
