What will I study?

You will learn about the basics of watercolours, the various brushes and the effects they cause, the preparation and mixing of paints and the various surfaces to paint on. Learn how to produce effects such as washes so that you can create a painting such as a watercolour landscape or flower picture. Try your hand at mono and lino printing to create your own unique print designs. Learn new skills and develop your artistic talents in a fun and supportive environment. Join us to explore creativity and boost your wellbeing through the joy of art! You will be guided by an experienced arts and crafts Instructor.

What qualification will I achieve?

There is no qualification for this course but you will receive a certificate of attendance if you complete the course.

What can I do after completing this course?

You can explore a variety of other courses within Community Learning or the adult college, including our Level 1 Award in Creative Crafts.

Are there any extra costs?

Course fee: £37.50

This course is free if you are in receipt of benefits or earn less than £25,000 per year (this includes pension income)
