In modern times many of us are so busy trying to get through life we forget to have time for ourselves. Our introductory sessions will cover the basics of each type of meditation. We will focus on aligning the body, meditation exercises for beginners, Chi Kung, mindfulness and many other techniques. You will then be able to take these skills into your everyday life with confidence.

What will I study?

In modern times many of us are so busy trying to get through life we forget to have time for ourselves. We find it difficult to motivate ourselves to dedicate time to our own personal development, or have no idea where to start. Or we don’t have time to connect to our community and make new friends. This impacts both physical and mental well-being.

We offer introductory classes covering the basics of each type of meditation. We will focus on aligning the body, meditation exercises for beginners, Chi Kung, mindfulness and many other techniques. You will then be able to take these skills into your everyday life with confidence.

What qualification will I achieve?

There is no qualification for this course but you will receive a certificate of attendance if you complete the course.

What can I do after completing this course?

You can explore a variety of other courses within Community Learning or the adult college.

Are there any extra costs?

Course fee: £37.50

This course is free if you are in receipt of benefits or earn less than £25,000 per year (this includes pension income)
