Taking a mindful approach, we will explore colour, textures and simple embroidery stitches, to create your own personal piece of textile art. Inspired by cross cultural and traditional mending techniques, we will enjoy a relaxing, mindful day of stitching together.
All fabric used in the workshop has been donated and is recycled. However, feel free to bring along any of your favourite fabric scraps, sewing kit and threads to use on the day.
There is no qualification for this course but you will receive a certificate of attendance if you complete the course.
You can explore a variety of other courses within Community Learning or the adult college.
This course is free if you are in receipt of benefits or earn less than £25,000 per year (this includes pension income)*. Please select the relevant options when enrolling online.
There are no additional costs. All materials are provided, however please bring any favourite small pieces of material/needle/thread should you wish to.
*If you do not qualify for a free course the course fee will be £13.75
