This course is specifically designed to help you become an educational assessor in the working environment. You will be qualified in your chosen industry and join the course to learn the principles and practices of assessment and how to assess occupational competence. Shadowing a qualified assessor in your area of work will also contribute to your learning.

What will I study?
Understanding the Principles & Practices of Assessment. Assess Occupational Competence in the Working Environment.
How will I be assessed?
The understanding module, is delivered through the colleges VLE 'Turing'. Stidents work at their own pace through the tasks and these are marked by your tutor. The other units are assessed through observation. There is a requirement that you will have to shadow a qualified assessor in your own area of work.
What can I do after completing this course?
You can assess in your place of work, or go onto do your verifier qualification.
