What will I study?

You will study a range of modules designed to allow you to explore what it is to manage staff and projects, to make changes with confidence, explore the international child care sector and to carry out relevant and work related research.

Your modules will be:

  • Leading Practice in the Early Years setting
  • Curriculum and assessment in Early Years: Workplace Project.
  • Interdisciplinary Perspectives
  • Research with Children and Families

How will I be assessed?

Through a variety of assignments including essays, presentations, reports, displays and portfolios.

What qualification will I achieve?

Bachelor of Arts Care and Education either at BA level or at Honours

What can I do after completing this course?

Once you have graduated you will have a full honours degree and be ready to progress into management positions in nurseries, hospices and reception classes are all open to graduates. The positions include operational management in nurseries and hospice settings with responsibility for quality improvement, planning and implementing change and reviewing the outcomes and classroom support in the school as a SEND worker.

Additional Info

Applicants must be working in an Early Years setting and should have normally been employed within that setting for at least two years. Applicants must be involved in at least 16 hours / week of activity within the setting.
